April 13 (Thursday) PDM Topic: How Using Resources Outside Your Organization for Process Improvement Can Make a Difference

Our speaker this month is Mr. Mike Wathen who will be sharing his wisdom on utilizing resources available to you outside of your organization to make a difference in the improving your own processes.

Mr. Wathen is President of Bravo SCM, a consultant in supply management, an adjunct professor at Miami and a former IBM consultant for their operations management systems with thirty years of management experience in IT and business process consulting. In addition to Operations and Supply Chain management positions in diverse manufacturing organizations (privately held to international publicly held), he is also a retired Navy Supply Corps officer. Having the requisite technical expertise to serve as effective manager, educator, and motivator, his responsibilities have included ERP analysis and implementation, custom training, procurement, strategic planning, team building, and continuous improvement. 

The April 13th Professional Development Meeting (PDM) will be held at the Holiday Inn Dayton/Fairborn, 2800 Presidential Drive in Fairborn. Registration is at 5:30PM; dinner at 6:00 and the program begins approximately 6:45 and ends around 8:00 PM. The cost for this meeting will be $10, cash or check at the door – no credit cards can be accepted. The first 10 full time students that register and identify as such can attend for free.
